2½ tablespoons reduced-fat butter or Smart Balance Light
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinaigrette
¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
¼ cup sliced, chopped or slivered almonds
Instructions
In a large nonstick pan add 1-inch of water and trimmed green beans. Bring water to a boil, turn down to medium and cook uncovered until beans are tender (5-7 minutes). Drain.
Place green beans on a serving platter and keep warm.
Add butter to pan and melt. Stir in olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. When mixture begins to sizzle, stir in almonds.
