1 package Athens mini fillo dough shells (frozen) or other brand’s available, see shopping tips
1(5.25 oz.) canwhite albacore tuna, (water packed) drained well
½ cupapples,unpeeled and diced small
⅓ cup celery, diced small
3 tablespoons Best Foods Light mayonnaise (Hellman’s Light)
1 tablespoon minced fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dried
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place fillo dough shells on baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes.
In a medium bowl, add tuna and all remaining ingredients, except fillo shells. Mix well to combine.
To assemble each appetizer: Fill each shell with 1 very rounded teaspoon of tuna salad. These can be stored in the refrigerator for an a few hours before serving. Or, prepare the tuna several hours in advance and refrigerate. Bake the shells a few hours before serving and fill with tuna. You don’t want to store in the refrigerator assembled for more than a few hours. The shells will soften from the tuna.
