5 Ingredient Chili

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound extra-lean ground beef or lean turkey (93%)
  • cups  onions, chopped
  • 1 package Lawry’s Chili Mix or McCormick’s
  • 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes, not drained
  • 2 (15 oz each) cans beans, drained rinsed (I used 1 can kidney and 1 can black beans)
  • ½ cup water

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot or pan, cook ground beef or turkey and onions over medium/high heat until the meat is browned, about 7 minutes. Stir often and be sure to crumble up the meat. Drain meat mixture and return to pan.
  • To the browned meat, add the chili mix, diced tomatoes, beans, and water. Mix well to combine everything. Bring up to a boil, then turn down the heat to simmer. Continue to simmer for 15 minutes. Continue to stir often.
